Event description | This course focuses on developing science skills in KS2, considering a range of strategies for teaching and learning. During the course we will look into the national curriculum and identify scientific concepts that should be introduced to children during KS2. We will discuss best practices for introducing these scientific concepts to avoid pupils developing scientific misconceptions. A particular focus will be on difficult science topics such as plants, the circulatory system, states of matter, light, forces, sound and electricity. We will also look into some useful resources for supporting pupils with SEND in science. |
